Jon-Erik’s practice covers multiple areas of law with an emphasis on Construction, Environmental, Mold and Water Damage, and Toxic Tort law. Jon-Erik graduated from Golden Gate University School of Law earning a Certificate of Specialization in Environmental Law with distinction. As a law student, Jon-Erik served as the Managing Editor of the Golden Gate University Environmental Law Journal. Jon-Erik’s article for the Journal, Lyon’s Roar, Then a Whimper: The Demise of Broad Arranger Liability in the Ninth Circuit After the Supreme Court’s Decision in Burlington Northern, has been cited as an authoritative piece on CERCLA arranger liability, including in briefs before the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals and Roger’s Environmental Law, a treatise. Jon-Erik has also been a contributor to the Center on Urban Environmental Law’s blog.
Prior to law school, Jon-Erik worked for major insurance carriers and third-party administrators handling environmental, toxic tort and latent injury claims. Jon-Erik has significant experience handling multiparty environmental matters and coordinating litigation strategy with environmental investigations and cleanups. Further, Jon-Erik is very familiar with insurance coverage issues that are associated with latent injury and pollution claims.
Jon-Erik completed his undergraduate education at Skidmore College in Saratoga Springs, NY. He is admitted to practice in the State of California and United States District Court, Northern District of California.
