Construction
Emphasis on defense of developers and general contractors in Nevada in complex, multi-party construction defect matters including prosecution of indemnity actions against subcontractors.
Defense of residential builders against homeowner claims of negligence/construction defects, fraud and negligent misrepresentation in cases ranging from a single home to more than three-hundred town homes.
Prosecution of claims against subcontractors for indemnification and breach of contract on behalf of residential homebuilders. Representation of residential builders in disputes with HOAs regarding duties and obligations after control of HOA was turned over.

Defense of builders and contractors involving claims of personal and property injury due to toxigenic mold growth from water intrusion.

Landlord-Tenant Issues
Prosecution of commercial tenants for failure to pay rent, breach of lease agreements and other claims. Resolution of issues between neighboring commercial tenants.

Defense of residential builders against personal injury, breach of contract and fraud based claims from purchasers.

Stephen practices in the areas of general civil, landlord-tenant, toxic tort and construction defect litigation. Stephen was admitted to the Nevada Bar in 2007 after graduating from Loyola Law School. As a student at Loyola, Stephen served as an officer for both the Student Bar Association and the American Bar Association. During law school, Stephen was also very involved in the study of trial advocacy, while participating in the Hobb's Trial Advocacy Program and holding multiple internships with the Los Angeles County District Attorney's Office. Stephen was born and raised in Southern California where he attended the University of California at Santa Barbara to study Business Economics and Philosophy. |
