Shannon practices in the area of professional liablility and tort defense, including catastrophic injury and toxic tort. She also has experience in class action defense. At her prior firm, Shannon advised mortgage bankers on a host of professional liability issues. While in law school, Shannon published a note on financial conflicts of interest in medical research involving human subjects in the Notre Dame Journal of Law, Ethics & Public Policy, and was the Journal's executive articles editor. She also worked as a Research Assistant for Professor Matthew Barrett in the area of accounting law and financial reporting laws, including changes to accounting laws as a result of the collapse of Enron. In addition, Shannon was selected to travel to Cuba to study the economic status of women with a group of Notre Dame students and professors. Shannon is conversant in Spanish. |
