As a former Judge Advocate in the U.S. Navy JAG Corps, Sheila has tried over 100 cases, including 20 jury trials. Recognized for her creative case management techniques and firm grasp of technical issues, Sheila specializes in complex multi-party civil litigation with a primary focus on the construction industry. She also counsels national builders on risk management issues in all phases of the construction process. Other areas of practice include toxic tort and hazardous waste / groundwater contamination cases. Sheila is a recognized speaker on cutting edge construction issues with recent topics including ""Green Building Products – Can They Perform as Promised?" and "Going Green: Is the Grass Greener on the Other Side?". A Captain (O-6) in the Navy Reserve JAG Corps, she serves as the Commanding Officer of NR Legal Service Office Southwest in San Diego, California. Ms. Fix received her undergraduate degree from Bowdoin College and her law degree from Southern Methodist University Dedman School of Law. |
