William Downes is a senior associate in WSHB’s New York office, where he focuses his practice on toxic tort and New York Labor Law cases. William is experienced in defending product manufacturers and site owners in mass-tort litigation, with a focus on asbestos exposure. He is also adept in whistleblower litigation.
William is a graduate of Georgetown University Law Center, where he was Mentoring and Notes Editor for the Georgetown Journal of Legal Ethics. He was published in the Fall 2013 edition of the Journal of Legal Ethics as a student contributor, for the note “Does the ABA Promote Democracy In America?” 26 Geo. J. Legal Ethics 645 (2013). William also received his undergraduate degree from Georgetown University in Government and History, where he was a member of the Philodemic Debate Society and the Phi Alpha Theta History Honors Society.
