Overview

As Firmwide Managing Partner, Stewart is responsible for the operation of the firm across a national platform. In this role, Stewart also serves on WSHB's Management Committee, which oversees all aspects of the firm’s wide and diverse practice areas. Stewart has a broad range of experience and skill litigating professional liability, subrogation, class action, product liability, and commercial business matters. He has particular expertise in alternate fee arrangements and litigation management. Our clients expect the firm to deliver successful results – not just on one case, but over long stretches of time across the entire relationship. Knowing, tracking, and analyzing performance metrics across a broad spectrum of touch points is key to delivering the success clients demand.

Stewart has a distinct interest in construction litigation. He regularly represents residential and commercial builders and owners – both private and public – in payment disputes, recovery actions, construction defect, mechanic’s lien, stop notice, delay and acceleration claims, and construction site injury and casualty claims. Growing up working heavy construction projects, and later as a licensed general contractor building single family homes, Stewart is uniquely qualified to provide creative representation to California’s largest contractors, homebuilders and property developers.
