Bio

A litigation associate in WSHB’s Dallas office, Stephen Cord focuses his practice on complex civil litigation. Stephen has experience in contract and business tort, construction, product liability, energy, real estate, fiduciary and professional liability litigation. Stephen is also well-versed in class and collective actions. In addition, Stephen assists our national insurance coverage practice by advising and representing domestic and international insurers on first-party property (Homeowner’s and Commercial), commercial general liability, construction defect, and professional errors and omission claims. Stephen handles the discovery, motion and trial support phases of litigation and arbitration in both federal and state courts throughout Texas. Further, he has been a lead attorney consulting businesses during dissolution and re-structuring disputes and projects. Stephen is adept in the defense of a wide variety of claims under state and federal laws, including the DTPA, the TCPA and multiple theories of common law liability.

Stephen graduated with honors from the University of Notre Dame Law School. He is a published author and was an editor on the editorial board of the Notre Dame Journal of Law, Ethics, and Public Policy.
