Rachel Szela is a senior associate in WSHB’s Northern California office, where her practice focuses on a variety of areas in litigation, including catastrophic injury, products liability, professional liability, elder abuse, employment, medical malpractice, and construction.
Prior to joining WSHB, Rachel practiced in a civil litigation firm on cases in both federal and superior courts in a myriad of different areas of law. Rachel has successfully defended individuals in professional negligence cases, property owners in premises liability actions, health care facilities in elder abuse lawsuits, and property managers in lawsuits and at various administrative hearings. Rachel’s previous work experiences include being a member of the in-house discovery team at Google and a former employee of the Federal Bureau of Investigation.
Rachel attended Michigan State University College of Law, where she was a student attorney at both the Business and Nonprofit Clinic and the Rental Housing Clinic. Additionally, she was a judicial extern for a Supervising Administrative Law Judge in Michigan with a focus on claims regarding Michigan-OSHA, wage and hour, professional licensure, and workplace discrimination.
