Matt is a senior associate in WSHB’s Los Angeles office, where his broad-based practice focuses on a variety of civil litigation matters, including personal injury, habitability, real property, and catastrophic injury. He was admitted to the California Bar in 2013 after graduating from Pepperdine University School of Law.
While in law school, Matt worked for three years at the Compton branch of the Los Angeles District Attorneys’ Office, spending time in both the Hardcore Gang Division and Victim Impact Unit. He was the recipient of Pepperdine School of Law’s Dean’s Merit Scholarship, as well as the second place finisher in the Pepperdine First-Year Law Student Moot Court Competition.
Matt completed his undergraduate studies at the University of California, Los Angeles, where he graduated summa cum laude with a bachelor’s degree in Communication Studies. He was a regular volunteer while attending UCLA, participating in the Los Angeles Times Book Fair on campus, and also leading elementary and middle school-aged children on tours of the UCLA campus in an effort to increase awareness and interest in college attendance.
