Katie Brinson is a partner in the Los Angeles office, where her practice is focused on the defense of general negligence, labor and employment, premises liability, professional liability, intellectual property, insurance, and product liability matters, including complex tort litigation and business and commercial litigation. Katie is an experienced litigator who has secured favorable outcomes for all types of clients, from individuals to large corporations, including successful mediation and/or settlement, multiple summary judgment awards, and recently, a defense verdict at trial in a Federal Court action against a large national hotel chain.
Katie attended Golden Gate University School of Law, where she graduated with high honors, and was inducted into the Justice Jesse Carter Society, reserved for those graduates in the top 10% of their class. In addition, Katie authored an article for the Golden Gate University Law Review titled Justifying Discrimination, How the Ninth Circuit Circumvented the Intent of the Fair Housing Act, which was published in the Journal’s Spring Edition. Thereafter, Katie acted as the Managing Editor of the Golden Gate University Law Review.
Prior to her civil litigation career, Katie worked for the Alameda County Public Defender’s office, representing indigent clients in a variety of misdemeanor cases, and Katie was trained at the American Board of Trial Advocates (ABOTA) Jack Daniels Trial School.
