Jacob is a senior associate in the Fresno office, where his practice focuses on construction defect litigation and general liability. Jacob joined WSHB in 2011 as a paralegal, a field in which he already had a decade of civil litigation experience. While working full-time during the day, Jacob also attended San Joaquin College of Law at night, earning a Juris Doctor degree after four years of study.
In addition to his broad range of skill in general civil litigation matters, Jacob also has years of practical experience in the handling of construction defect litigation, including work on behalf of subcontractors, general contractors, developers, and court-appointed Special Masters. Jacob has multiple years of experience with both the Plaintiff and Defense Bars, and he has assisted in numerous trials in both federal and state courts throughout California.
Prior to his long career as a paralegal, Jacob completed three years of his B.S. in Business Administration with emphasis in Management at California State University, Fresno before ultimately returning to school to graduate with Honors from the University of Phoenix in 2008. During law school, Jacob was an active member of several organizations and the recipient of multiple Witkin Awards for Academic Excellence, including Civil Trial Practice and Species Protection Policy & Law.
Although born in Pasadena, California, Jacob has lived in California’s Central Valley for more than 20 years, and has developed close ties with the community.
