Elyse Scofield is a senior associate in WSHB’s Los Angeles office, handling complex civil matters focusing primarily on the myriad of issues arising in the habitability context. In this capacity, she enjoys a depth of experience and understanding of navigating the most difficult matters involving catastrophic injury, toxic tort and business litigation issues on behalf of the firm clients. Elyse also has substantial experience handling both products liability and professional liability matters.
Elyse was admitted to the California Bar in 2015. She graduated in 2013 from Liberty University School of Law, which is located in Virginia. Prior to her licensure in California, Elyse was licensed to practice law in North Carolina in 2013. She completed her undergraduate studies at Southwest Baptist University in Missouri, where she graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Political Science. Upon completing her undergraduate studies, Elyse completed a four month internship in Washington D.C. with the Heritage Foundation.
Elyse enjoys hosting parties, running trails, and international travel. Elyse also has a heart for the marginalized in society, and has committed herself to serving the community. She currently volunteers with the Christian Legal Aid Clinic, and in the past has served as a guardian ad litem for abused and neglected children, as well as participated in a program that works with teenagers in juvenile delinquent facilities.
