Liz Chalik is the managing partner of WSHB’s Philadelphia office, where she focuses her practice on general litigation, premises liability, coverage, toxic tort, products liability, professional liability, construction defect, trucking claims as well as labor and employment. Liz represents various supermarkets, contractors, casinos, national retailers, educational facilities, hospitals, restaurants and trucking companies. In addition to traditional premises liability cases, Liz has represented many casinos, restaurants and retailers in negligent security and/or excessive force cases. She has also represented casinos and restaurants in liquor liability cases.
Additionally, Liz assists our national insurance coverage practice by advising and representing domestic and international insurers on first-party property (Homeowner’s and Commercial), commercial general liability, construction defect, and professional errors and omission claims. She has successfully litigated a wide variety of first-party and third-party insurance cases, including the interpretation of policy provisions and exclusions, bad faith and extra-contractual claims.
Throughout her career, Liz has tried cases, both jury and non-jury as well as handled appellate matters. Liz graduated from Rutgers University with Bachelor of Arts degrees in Psychology and Economics and minors in Political Science and Cognitive Science. She went on to obtain her law degree from Rutgers School of Law. In 2009, 2010 and 2011, she was named as one of “Pennsylvania Super Lawyers Rising Stars.”
