David Larkin is a senior associate in WSHB’s New York office, concentrating his practice on construction litigation, catastrophic injury, and complex general civil litigation. In addition, David defends contractors and real estate owners and managers in matters involving premises liability, toxic torts, and recreational torts. David also practices lobbying law; he prepares lobbying disclosure filings with Federal, State and City governments for several New York lobbyists. He has also defended physicians, hospitals and other professionals for medical malpractice, nursing home malpractice, and professional malpractice. David has significant experience in appellate law, having handled appeals pertaining to issues such as contractual indemnification, personal jurisdiction, wrongful death, and a variety of negligence issues. David has also litigated cases on a pro hac vice basis across the Northeast.
While in law school, David served as a judicial intern for the Hon. Kiyo A. Matsumoto, United States District Judge for the Eastern District of New York, and the Hon. Karla Moskowitz, Associate Justice of the Appellate Division, First Department of New York. He was Vice President of the Brooklyn Law School Business Law Association. He was also a research assistant to his torts and evidence professor, Stephen Landsman, and a member of Brooklyn Law School’s Corporate and Real Estate Clinic. Prior to practicing law, David served in the Peace Corps in Costa Rica, conducting youth development programs for orphans and at-risk youth.
